The GMC CCKW-353 with a HF-radio shelter delivered as part of the MDAP in the early 1950´s. The HO-17 shelter contained an american SCR-399 station consisting of 2 receivers and 1 transmitter.  The BC-342 receiver operated on 115V and the BC-312 receiver operated with a 12V battery.  The transmitter was the BC-610 with an output of 400 watt. The set-up was known in Denmark as the "SMA".
The system was superseded by a
1 kW HF-station (M/73) over a period from 1975 until around 1980. Also open-cabbed trucks were used in this role.
The shown vehicle belonged to the now closed Zealand Signal Regiment.
